Review of A&E St Peters
2nd February 2014

I was referred to the SAU by the out-of-hours GP at Woking Community Hospital. I had severed stomach cramps. Ths problem was eventually found to be a UTI for which nitrofurantoin 50mh qds was started. I had numerous other bloood and urine tests, not all of which were ready at discharge after 27 hours. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and I did not have any problem asking for what might \ppear an excessive number of urine bottles - due to taking co-amilofruse!

Review of A&E St Peters
1st February 2014

I presented myself at St. Peters A&E at about 15h30 on Saturday 01 FEB with severe pain and swelling from a broken wrist which had been incorrectly plastered elsewhere the day before. I was checked in with the utmost courtesy and efficiency by the receptionist, Margaret, I think (a South African lady.) About 45 minutes thereafter I was received by the triage nurse and perhaps an hour after that taken to Dr Agra (not sure if that is the right spelling.) He was reassuring, professional, and has a great sense of humour and made me feel extremely comfortable with his thorough examination, then sending me off for x-rays, manipulating the wrist, and then putting another plaster cast on. The nurse who was present (Susan Good) was also delightful and kind. Various other people attended me during my short stay and I was truly impressed and humbled by the quality of care and empathy shown by everyone. I was referred to the fractures clinic which I attended yesterday, was seen on time, and again with professionalism and empathy. I now have a follow up for Monday 10th. Whilst I would rather not have broken my wrist in the first place, I could not have asked for better service in any way, and all this is so much at variance with what one often hears about the NHS. My sincere thanks to all concerned who made this possible. Michael R Preston Hospital number 1596376

I was pretty much forgotten about once I arrived into Kingfisher Ward. This was a painful experince made worse by the lack of care or understanding.
